In 57 years of having audio systems put in numerous vehicles and I’ve had them all from various audio centers right here locally, let me tell you about this HIDDEN GEM! I had in mind to put another system in my YOTA and was driving on #1 and thought, hey ! Let’s go look at new golf cart! We’ll, they have moved BUT, What I came across peaked my interest and low and behold there was a sign that said STURGESS CUSTOMS! SOOO i pulled in ! Let me tell you all, Jess Sturgess actually listened to what I wanted. WHAT KIND OF SOUND I WANTED !! AND HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! If you want bass that rattles your trunk and we all hear the rattles outside your vehicle, well he can make it happen. But if you want highs, and mids that will slap you in the face and BASS that will kick you in the ASS all put together to experience a TRUE listening experience Sturgess Customs will blow your mind!! Thank you Jesse and your crew for all of the work, it’s like nothing I’ve ever heard and my neighbors too! and YES!! IM STILL SMILING! True story!

He awesomely professional, kept me up-to-date on progress as he went along and in the end, had me blown away with his work. I got screens in my van and a steering wheel control for my new car audio, which I tried to install myself and finally gave up. he took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted to get done and took less than 2 hours on two vehicles(Wow). the price that he also gave me was second to none. I definitely recommend this establishment for any custom installation.

Sturgess customs is awesome he hooked up my wheel lights and the underneath and inside my truck lights! they’ve been hooked up for over a year and I drive my truck every day and they’re still working! Jesse takes pride in what he does and he goes the extra mile!

Jesse is the best you can find in the midlands in my opinion. Ive been to many shops around the area was never 100% satisfied with the work. I took my truck to this shop, and knew i would be satisfied. The owner was very cool to speak with and was quick to help me get my custom stereo put in that required custom installation kits, along with my hands-free setup and my backup camera. He had me in the day after i came into the shop and i will recommend him to anyone.

Jesse is very professional. He is running an honest and trustworthy establishment. He walked me through everything while I was deciding what I wanted to do. The finished product is clean and very well done.

I added a DVD player, touch screen radio, backup cameras and had a couple faulty speakers replaced. The final product was exactly what I wanted These guys know what they are doing. They do quality work in a quick and professional manner. As a novice in a quickly-chamging industry, I found that Jesse esoecially was very helpful in talking through the available options and helping me find a set of products to suit my needs.

Installed speakers and speaker lids to my HD Street Glide and corrected some faulty led light work by another installer. Does great work and very professional. Followed up with me after I went HD to have speakers flashed. Highly recommend Sturgess Customs!!

I cant say enough good things about Sturgess Customs. I started going there about 5 years ago starting with the stereo on my Road Glide which was phenomenal compared to the factory stereo, and then the aftermarket kit that i had installed. Then have been back again and again for new head units, LED light bars, weather tech floor mats, and other vehicle accessories that i have installed on my wifes SUV and my truck. I have had one issues come up with my head units where they needed to have the software updated and he wedged me in real quick and knocked that out. Also sent a friend of mine over there that was having an issues with his window motor and he brought him in real fast and fixed it while it was raining. I would never recommend anywhere else to go, as I will never go anywhere else for parts that i need for my radio and truck accessories. Thanks Sturgess Customs for being a shop that i can count on, and know that it will be quality work done every time.

I went there for a touchscreen radio, sub, and amp. Couldn’t be happier with the sound and service. Good pricing and Jesse always holds to his word. Have been going to him for all my audio needs since I could drive. Don’t go to the big name shops, you won’t get the price, much less the service. He has been doing this kind of work his whole life and keeps up with the latest and best tech. You won’t get any better than this!

I have had Sturgess Customs do work on three cars, an ATV and a golf carts. He has installed or repaired lights, stereo systems or electrical issues. I called Jesse on Friday morning and asked him to install complete system with Stereo, Sirius XM, Navigation and backup camera. He fit me in, finished by Saturday morning and did a great job. I would use him again anytime.

I will only be using Jesse for future car needs. He has always fit me in and fixed issues that were originally done elsewhere. He is straight forward about what needs to be completed and you can tell he takes pride in his work.

He does great work. Had him install some LED headlights I bought. He had to modify some things to make them fit. He’s a little expensive in my opinion but worth it. Him and his sceratary seem like good people to work with. Overall a great service and he was fast.

He installed a pioneer double din radio for me today and it looks and sounds amazing, he does great work I will be going back for other audio upgrades in the near future! Highly recommend this place!

I went there today and I think the owner helped me today. He was very polite, took his time inspecting and then told me my speakers were fine and he didn’t wanna take my money for something I didn’t need, I thought they were blown. VERY rare to find an honest person to talk to and I was actually shocked. I would recommend this place to anyone!

My stereo/sound went out in my vehicle recently. I called around trying to find somewhere to get it fixed. When I called Stugess Customs I spoke to the owner, Jesse Sturgess. He took the time to explain to me the different things that could be going on. I was very impressed with his knowledge and more importantly his desire to find a solution that would work for me best. (not what would be best for him) I brought the vehicle in and was extremely pleased with his dedicated, efficient and quality service. I brought my Charger Hellcat to Sturgess Customs because I wanted an upgraded sound system. The owner, Jesse, sat with me and went through all of the options open to me. He never tried to upsell anything to me and let me make my decision. He took his time and went through all of the advantages and disadvantages of all of the choices. I cannot even begin to tell you how blown away I am with the system he installed. It is crystal clear and has insane bass. The car looks like it came from the factory. Everything was so clean and tight. This was the best upgrade I could have ever made. I thought about having this done in Charlotte figuring that the quality would be better in a bigger city. I am so glad that I read the reviews on Sturgess Customs and trusted Jesse. Honest, dependanble, no BS. Did exactly what he told me he would do and when something wasn’t perfect by his standards he took his time and redid it. I hope anyone reading this takes my advice and brings their business to them.

Bought a Cerwin Vega 12” with Vented Box from here. Great quality, great work. We had a small problem due to my amp not being wired right from getting work done somewhere else but once I’ve came here, Jessie got me right. Make sure you ask for Jessie when calling or coming through.

Flawless work at a reasonable price. I Came in near closing time just to get a quote. I was able to decide what unit I wanted and he offered to go ahead and install same day. He stayed late 45 min to finish install and show me the in’s and outs of the unit. Now that is great customer service.

Great work, very flexible with my time constraint around my work schedule. One of the amps had issues I went back and talked to Jesse and he found the issue and replaced the amp no questions asked.

Awesome job! They know what they are doing! I was replacing a factory radio with a new radio that supports carplay. After trying for hours to get the backup camera to work, I took it to them, and they went over and above trying to get everything working. It took some trial and error, but they patiently worked through the problem and now it works like a dream! They were very friendly and knowledgeable, I will definitely use them from now on.

Got a dash cam as well as new front speakers installed in my ’09 Corolla. Jesse took care of me. I enjoyed watching a movie while I waited. He also fixed the wiring and mounted my sub woofer that had been previously, unprofessionally installed. Saved me a bunch of money by replacing my cigarette lighter fuses that had blown and been broken for years. The dealership told me they would have to charge me the $86 diagnostic fee bc fuses “didn’t fix” cig lighter issues. Now I can charge my phone. Will likely return for more business in the future.
